im doin a whole big project on WW2 and i dont kno what caption 2 put for this picture, this is what is happening in the pic, A 165th Infantry assault wave attacks Butaritari, Yellow Beach Two, finding it slow going in the coral bottom waters while Japanese machine gun fire from the right flank makes it even more difficult. Makin Atoll, Gilbert Islands. November 20, 1943. from historyplace.comWhat caption can i write for this?
Depending on how big you want the caption to be, put just that:

';Figure 1. 165th Infantry attacks Buritari, Yellow Beach Two while under Japanese machine-gun fire. November 20, 1943. Photograph by so-and-so.'; If you refer to the picture in your report, refer to it as Figure 1 (or 2, 3, etc. if there are others). In your Works Cited section, you will generally want to use Figure 1 as your title, then follow citing guidelines to give the photographer and the website credit.
